Pricing
ChartMogul has the most startup-friendly pricing: free up to $10k MRR, then $99/month up to $50k MRR, $179/month up to $100k MRR, and custom above that. For pre-revenue and early-stage companies, ChartMogul is the default choice.
Baremetrics starts at $108/month for up to $10k MRR. It's more expensive than ChartMogul at every tier but offers a richer UI, better Slack integration, and the Recover product for failed payment recovery.
ProfitWell (now called Paddle Metrics) is completely free for MRR/churn data, funded by their Retain (dunning) and Paddle (billing) products. If you don't need Retain, ProfitWell is essentially free forever — but the dashboard is less polished than Baremetrics.
Which should you choose?
Pre-launch / under $10k MRR: ChartMogul (free tier) or ProfitWell (always free).
$10k–$100k MRR: ChartMogul offers the best price/feature ratio. Baremetrics if you prioritize UI quality and use their Recover dunning.
$100k+ MRR: All three are viable. Baremetrics excels at team-facing dashboards and investor reporting. ChartMogul excels at segmentation and plan-level analysis. ProfitWell/Paddle is worth considering if you're already using Paddle for billing.
